Sometimes life works in mysterious ways. American football was a big part of my life for almost 10 years. The love for the sport started while watching broadcasts on sports TV somewhere in high school. A bit after I started my college voyage, I heard about a tryout at Ljubljana Silverhawks and the rest is history. I tried out and fell in love with the sport and started my football career.
A few national championships, one CEFL championship and dozens of games later I stopped playing and really thought I was done with American football. I WAS WRONG.

Family life has taken me away from my home town to Velenje. While driving to work every day, family and renovating a house I saw there were a couple of guys and gals in Velenje playing American football. I contacted, now my dear friend and president of Velenje Black Miners, Lazar and all he said was: “Yes we need you!” I was in.
I didn’t really know what to expect, but there were players and a lot of work to do.
With the head coach Aleš Makuc, we changed mentality, game and tactics. We managed to get the team from bottom to now contenders. Top 8 at AdriBowl 2, 3rd at SFFC and 3rd at SFFL (national championship).
